The News Channel was a channel that came in a system update on January 26, 2007. It allowed users to view news from around the world and let users read articles on different topics. It also allowed users to read recent headlines from the channel's Wii Menu banner.
History
The news channel was released on January 26, 2007 via a system update as a WiiConnect24 channel.[1] On June 27th, 2013, WiiConnect24 was shut down. Around 2017, RiiConnect24 started reviving the news channel.
