Overview
The Wii Speak Channel was a channel created for the Wii Speak accessory. The Wii Speak included a download code to download the channel from the Wii Shop Channel. The Wii Speak and Wii Speak Channel were announced October 2nd, 2008 and required users to plug in their Wii Speak in a USB port place it on their sensor bar and talk to friends or others online. The Wii Speak Channel was shut down alongside WiiConnect24 and other services.
Revivals
The RiiConnect24 Team began development around the time other channels that had supported and now allows players to communicate online again.
